Not all stretchy wrap slings are created equal

I love to show all my clients how to use the stretchy wrap sling because once mastered they are a game changer. Super comfortable for mum and baby and really helps babies to sleep, especially as they get past 3/4 weeks.

What I’ve discovered is there is a huge variation in the actual wraps… and it makes a difference.

Some are just not deep enough and are therefore too short in the body. This means that the support for the baby is not sufficient.

Some are not stretchy enough and then if you do it tight enough to support the baby it just feels too restrictive and uncomfortable for you and the baby. Others have too much stretch and the baby drops and is not well supported.

The one in the photos is the Izmi and is just perfect.

Also, it’s really not the same as a structured carrier so it’s worth persevering to master the skill of putting it on. Once you’ve got it you’ll be flying.

Ps watch Millie in the video for a simple tutorial.. oh and always ensure you can see your baby’s face.

The T.I.C.K.S. Rule for Safe Babywearing

Keep your baby close and keep your baby safe.

When you’re wearing a sling or carrier, don’t forget the T.I.C.K.S.
